Morgan & Stout has extensive work experience with leading commercial banks in projects on recovering the arrears and the acquisition of portfolios of debt obligations of individuals. In 2008, the transaction between MORGAN & STOUT and CREDIT EUROPA BANK CJSC on buying the debt portfolio was recognized as the largest such contract in the debt arrears market in Russia. At the end of 2009, MORGAN & STOUT and OTP Bank concluded a major debt assignment deal (buying a portfolio of overdue debts in the amount of 5.4 billion rubles).
In 2010, East Capital, the shareholder of MORGAN & STOUT, jointly with Europe's leading collection agency, Intrum Justitia, announced the creation of the EEDF Fund, with the initial amount of investments into the Russian market of overdue debts amounting to 20 million euros. MORGAN & STOUT became the exclusive partner for monitoring, participation in tenders, acquisition and debt collection.
