Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase involved in the regulation of Ca2+ homeostatis and excitation-contraction coupling (ECC) in heart by targeting ion channels, transporters and accessory proteins involved in Ca2+ influx into the myocyte, Ca2+ release from the sarcoplasmic reticulum (SR), SR Ca2+ uptake and Na+ and K+ channel transport. Targets also transcription factors and signaling molecules to regulate heart function. In its activated form, is involved in the pathogenesis of dilated cardiomyopathy and heart failure. 25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with CaMKII delta monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-61477R) at 1:1000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
