Sequence-specific transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis. Also binds to its own promoter. Binds specifically to the motif 5'-CYYNATTA[TG]Y-3'. SWISS: P20719 Gene ID: 3202 p53基因保護(hù)細(xì)胞不會(huì)癌變，HOXA5協(xié)助細(xì)胞的p53保持適當(dāng)水平。如果HOXA5水平下降或完全缺乏，p53基因就不能防止細(xì)胞癌變。低水平的HOXA5通過(guò)另一種促甲基化機(jī)制使基因不能表達(dá)而發(fā)生。正常狀態(tài)下，p53腫瘤抑制蛋白發(fā)現(xiàn)DNA的損傷，將信息傳遞給細(xì)胞以修復(fù)損傷或者導(dǎo)致死亡。過(guò)少或沒(méi)有p53不僅減弱細(xì)胞正常功能，而且降低細(xì)胞感受損傷的能力。因此，若細(xì)胞缺少HOXA5蛋白也很可能是腫瘤發(fā)展的重要過(guò)程。 |

25 ug total protein per lane of various lysates (see on figure) probed with HOXA5 monoclonal antibody, unconjugated (bsm-62382R) at 1:2000 dilution and 4°C overnight incubation. Followed by conjugated secondary antibody incubation at r.t. for 60 min.
